Organization
The Organization page assigns each Member user a scope — a filter, expressed as one or two Entra ID attributes, that limits the data they see in Bsure Insights to a slice of the organisation. Pair it with the Member role from Users Management and a Member's reports only show users, devices, and applications that match the configured attributes.
It is designed to answer simple but important questions:
Who in our organisation can see which slice of the data?
How do I scope a Member to a department, region, or cost centre?
What Entra ID attributes can I scope by?
Accessing Organization
Navigate to Settings → Configuration in the left sidebar, then select Organization. You can also access it directly via the URL path /admin-settings/organization.
Page Layout
The Organization page consists of the following elements:

Action Buttons
At the top-right corner of the page, you will find:
Add User Scope – Click to open a wizard where you select a user from your Entra ID and define their scope.
Table Toolbar
Above the scope list, a toolbar provides:
Row count – Total number of users currently scoped.
Reset Filters – Clears any active filters applied to the table columns.
Columns – Show or hide specific columns to customise your view.
Export – Exports the current scope list for offline use or further analysis.
Scope Table
The main content area shows a table listing all configured user scopes:
UPN
The User Principal Name (Entra ID sign-in name) of the scoped user. Includes a text filter and a Help icon next to the column header.
Attribute 1
The first Entra ID attribute that defines the scope, in the format AttributeName: Value (e.g. CompanyName: Acme Inc.). Includes a text filter.
Attribute 2
An optional second attribute, narrowing the scope further (- if not used). Includes a text filter.
Actions
Per-row More actions menu for editing or removing the scope.
Scope attributes
A scope is one or two Entra ID user attributes that the scoped user's reports will be filtered by. Common patterns:
CompanyName: Acme Inc.
A subsidiary, brand, or operating company.
Department: Finance
A department-level slice.
Department: Care Services Unit 9
A cost-centre or operational unit.
City: Oslo
A regional slice.
You can combine two attributes when one isn't enough — e.g. CompanyName: Acme Inc. + Department: IT to scope to the IT department within a specific subsidiary.
Adding a user scope
Editing or removing a scope
Click the three-dot menu (⋮) at the right end of the row and pick Edit Scope or Remove Scope.
How scopes power Impact Dashboard
The scopes you configure here drive the My Organization view on Impact Dashboard. When a Member opens Impact Dashboard:
My Personal View – always visible, shows the user's own license footprint.
My Team – visible only when the user has direct reports in Entra; auto-scoped to those reports.
My Organization – visible only when the user has a scope configured here; shows the slice the scope filters to.
A user without a scope will not see the My Organization tab at all. Add a scope here to give them access.
Filtering, sorting, exporting
The scope table provides several ways to find and organise your data:
Column sorting – Click any column header to sort. Click again to reverse.
Text filters – The UPN, Attribute 1, and Attribute 2 columns have filter input fields below the header.
Reset Filters – Clears all active filters.
Column visibility – Use the Columns dropdown to show or hide specific columns.
Export – Download the current scope list, with active filters and sorting applied.
Summary
Use Organization to map each Member user to the slice of the organisation they are responsible for. Combined with the Member role from Users Management, it produces a per-user filter that reaches every Power BI report and the Impact Dashboard.
