Purpose
The Application Owner page gives business application owners a clear overview of the applications they are responsible for.
It is designed to answer simple but important questions:
What is the cost of my applications?
Are there security risks related to usage or geography?
Are there renewals or expiring credentials that require action?
The page combines cost insights, security indicators, and actionable assessments in one place — helping business owners maintain control, reduce risk, and optimise spend.

The KPI section provides a high-level summary across three perspectives:

Shows:
Number of applications you own Total monthly application cost Monthly potential savings
Use this to:
Understand total financial responsibility Identify over-provisioned applications Prepare for renewals
Security (Geo-Risk)
Shows:
Users outside home country Users outside home region
Use this to:
Identify unusual geographic usage Detect potential compliance risks Start investigation if access appears abnormal
Home decided by Application Owner usage location setting in Entra ID
Business Interruption
Shows:
Expiring credentials (30 days)
Use this to:
Prevent service disruptions Renew certificates and secrets in time
2. Assessments and Recommendations
The My Applications Assessment section highlights actionable findings for applications you own.
Assessments are grouped into:
Active Delegated Ignored
Active
These assessments require attention.
Examples:
Application has no users Users outside expected country License renewal approaching Expiring secret or certificate
For each assessment you can:
Delegate it to another responsible person Ignore it (if not relevant)
Delegated
Assessments that have been assigned to someone else.
You can:
See who it is delegated to Reactivate it Delegate it again
Ignored
Assessments that have been marked as not relevant.
You can:
Reactivate them if needed
Delegating an assessment
When delegating, you can:
Send email notification Copy instructions to clipboard (for Teams or other communication)

Configuring Application Owners
To assign or change an application owner:
Go to:
Customer Settings → Applications
Edit the application and set:
Application Owner Unit cost Fixed cost Units bought License renewal date Certificate expiry date
Save changes.

When assigning a new owner, you can notify them by:
Sending email Copying instructions to Teams or other channels
